Saina Nehawal at the age of 28 years defeated PV Sindhu which is not a small feat.

It has taken 56 minutes for Saina Nehwal to defeat PV Sindhu  to clinch Gold Medal in Common Wealth for second time in her career.
She lived in Hissar and shifted to Hyderabad at the age of 5 years.

In 2005, Saina Nehawal won Silver Medal in world championships in Jakarta in 2016 in Asian Championships in Wahun (Bronze Medal).

Her parents were state level Badminton players in Haryana.

She had her coaching at Pullela Gopichand Academy at Hyderabad and Vimal Kumar

She has won number of Awards from Govt of India which included Padma Sri, Padma Bhushan Award and Rajiv Khel Ratna.
