The sand sculpted museum of Mysore City is unique and first of its kind in India, and one and only Sand Sculpted musem in India.

Exihibits at Mysore sand Museum displaying 150 sculptures of sand with different themes over an area of  13500 sq ft, using more than 130 truckloads of sand.

Creator and Creation of Sand Sculpture Museum
Ms. MN Gowri ,Bachelor of fine arts, one of the leading sand sculptors of India created this Museum, which took four months to complete.
Materials used for this Sand Sculpted museum apart from 130 loads of sand, include ,water, small amount of glue. All precautions are taken to protect sculptures from Sun and Rain. Insectisides are used to protect them insects.  These sand sculprures can last for one year.

These sculptures attract visitors and sculptures of Ganesha, Godess Chamundeswari, Sri kanta Datta Narasimha Raja Wadiyar , Lord Krishna and Arjuna, on Chariot, Laughing Buddha, Chrismas Tree and Santa Cruz, Masjid, Tom and Jerry, animals, Car, Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, Religious places, epics etc., to name a few speaks a lot about the wide variety of creations. Vistors are allowed to take photographs. Tourists visiting this place never miss a chance to take photos with cam or Mobile. Many of them prefer selfies..

The Museum is located in Mysore at Saptamathruka Layout , at the foothills of Chamundi Hills , which is 6kms from Mysore Bus Stand.

Entrance Ticket Rs. 40/- Per Person  For Kids It is Rs.20/-
